A new year for some of us might include major plans to rework our wardrobes or finally getting a move on that get-fit programme you’ve always mentally planned but never followed through with. It brings with it a certain promise of discovery and even a re-discovery of yourself –– whether accented by a bold red lip colour or distilled in muted, subtle silhouettes or colours –– and a willingness to dive in and be bold. So regardless of what little notes you’ve penciled to yourself in the edges of your planner or the grand (or imposing) list of new year’s Resolutions you’ve drawn up for yourself, we hope that this new year will bring you closer to a better version of yourself.
To celebrate the diversity of fashion created by you, the INNI team put together a series entitled The Other Side of Beauty, an exploratory forage into the elusive, less-heralded facets of beauty and fashion. For this entire month of January, we will be featuring a series of INNI “It Girls” –– women celebrated for their outstanding work and fashion sense –– as well as style commentaries on street trends that we find bold, eclectic and honest.
