But it is heartening that efforts in breast cancer research have never ceased. Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), a non-profit organization founded in 1993 by Evelyn H. Lauder, is one such effort. The foundation has funded more than 7 million hours of research in breast cancer treatment. As a result, our knowledge of the disease has grown vastly, and we are many steps closer than before to its eradication.
