October
is soon upon us, and with it comes the No. 1 dress-up event of the year – Halloween. For most people, it is the
perfect opportunity for them to don fantastical costumes that would otherwise
raise quite a few eyebrows on the streets.
But
not for me. While I do enjoy immersing myself in the fun and casual atmosphere,
I dread the idea of dressing up. Sure, it could be fun to masquerade as Wonder
Woman for a day, but it is too much of a chore to prepare the outfit (not to
mention I would need the right proportions to pull off that particular superhero look).
Who
needs costumes anyway? They are too typical and commonplace. If you are racking
your brains on how to look Halloween-ish, look no further! Just tilt your head
downwards and look at your fingers. You are already staring at the one thing
that we girls can use to flaunt our festive side – nails!
When
I first started dabbling into nail designs for the Halloween, I was clueless as
to which I should use to look the part. Now, with a few years of experience
under my belt, I am here to inspire you with some of the latest trending
styles!

#1 Halloween
just isn’t Halloween without all the
blood and gore. It is time to release the murderer in you with a white base
coat and red-colored nail polish. Do remember to do it artfully though - you
are shooting for blood splatters, not random blotches of red.
If you are afraid
of the mess that comes with creating this splatter nail art, try out our fuss-free
and high quality INNI Nail wraps. Simply order the above ready-made design, search ‘Bloodsplatters’
from our Gallery or upload a picture of your choice onto our Studio to create
your own unique nail wrap for just 9.90 a set!

#2 Back
when I was a little girl, trick-or-treating was my absolute favorite thing to
do during Halloweens. No kid in the right mind would ever refuse a chance at
free yummy treats! I have since grown
out of it, but decorating my nails with colourful candies is my way of reminiscing
about my carefree childhood.

Nothing
speaks Halloween like a set of spooky nails! It is possibly the single festival
where scary monsters and characters could bring joy and happiness to others. Skeletons,
evil pumpkins, or even…
eyeballs?
Really, anything that isn’t socially acceptable any other time of the year is
fine now.

#4 Some
of us dislike the conventional Halloween-inspired nail art because they are too
bold and brash. But fret not! Subtlety is beauty, and you can simply rock the
colours of the season – orange and black! The best part about these designs is
that you can wear them even when Halloween is after, because they are just so elegant.

you not have the steady hands to draw such precise straight lines for an elegant look?

#5 Celtic
nail art! You are likely to find this style unfamiliar, but it is probably one
of the more meaningful designs. For #5, we are going back to how it all began.
Do
you know what the origin of Halloween is? Fret not, neither did I. Then one
day, I realized that it was senseless to celebrate a tradition year after year
without knowing what it was about, and went to read up on it. The history of
Halloween dates centuries back, and is said to be rooted in Celtic Christianity.
Our ancestors did pretty much the same thing that we do now too – they
disguised themselves in costumes, and went door to door to seek food. Interesting, isn’t it?
When
your friends comment on your Celtic nails this spooky season, educate them on
the history of Halloween! It is bound to be a fantastic conversation starter.
There
you have it! I have given you my top 5 nail art designs. Which one will you use
this coming Halloween?
